Bonded Sibling Shih Tzu mixes

We are a bonded pair of Shih Tzu mixes who also happen to be brother and Sister.  Beau is the black & white neutered male and Lulu is the black spay female.  We came to CJCR on 8/9/25 after our owner was going to a senior living community which did not allow pets.  We were with her since we were babies.  We are not sure what the mix is, however, the owner was told that the mom was a Japanese Chin.  We are much taller and bigger than either a Shih Tzu or a Japanese Chin, but the rescue thinks there might be some poodle in the mix.  We don't shed and do require regular grooming.  We both weigh right at the 20lb mark.  We are very sweet dogs who love to go for walks and are 100% house trained.  We have both recently had our teeth cleaned and are current on all vaccinations as well as year round heartworm preventative.  We probably would do best in a home with an active family who loves to go for brisk walks or hiking.  We are both very athletic.  While we are both initially shy when meeting new people, we warm up very quickly and love to spend time with our person.  We are the ultimate lap dogs.  We probably would be best as the only pets in the home.  We are obsessed with squirrels and will definitely keep them from being in the yard.  We are very active and energetic so children over the age of 10 would probably be best.  We love going for long walks and hanging out on the couch with our family.  We have done well in our foster home with other small dogs, however, our foster parents are very careful about leaving us unsupervised with the much smaller dogs in the house.  We are very polite about getting treats and patiently wait our turn.  We are looking for a patient family who will allow us to acclimate to a new household and people without too much chaos.  If you are interested in adopting this fantastic duo please contact CJCR for more information.
