Mono

*11 year old (DOB 4/10/14)

Neutered Male

*Lemon & White Japanese Chin

My name is "Mono" which means little doll in Spanish.  I am an 11 year old neutered male Japanese Chin who was surrendered to a high kill shelter in Kansas.  Luckily the shelter manager immediately reached out to CJCR to get me out of the shelter.  I arrived in foster care on 4/15/25 and was pretty scared at first after being in the shelter and a long transport ride.  Once I arrived in my foster home I quickly calmed down and adapted.  I am a very sweet and quiet little guy who so far has been very friendly with all the dogs in my foster home as well as any people I meet.  I weigh approximately 10 pounds.  I had an overall health check up on 4/16/25 and we are waiting for the results of my bloodwork.  I am heartworm negative and am on year round monthly preventative.  I have a Grade 5 heart murmur and am currently taking a low dose of Pimobendin twice daily.  I also have quite a bit of spondylosis in my back and take a low dose of Galliprant once a day to keep me comfortable.  I have an appointment with the cardiologist on 4/23/25 for an echocardiogram.  I have some teeth that are loose and my foster mom wants to make sure that we can safely put me under anesthesia for a dental.  Moore information coming soon once all of my veterinary care is complete.  I would make a fantastic companion for pretty much anyone.
