We make every effort to match each dog with the right forever home based on both the needs of the dog as well as the needs and expectations of the adopter.  Many of these dogs have been transitioned multiple times in homes, shelters, commercial breeding facilities or have been strays.  Our goal is to find a final forever home for each dog through an application process, telephone interview, meeting with dogs in foster care, home visit and reference verification for each potential adopter.  We do adopt out of state, however being able to transport that dog can sometimes present some challenges.  If we feel like this family is the perfect fit for the dog we make every effort to use all of our available resources to get the dog to their forever home.  We really want both adopter and rescue dog to be happy and thrive together.

 

Adoption Fees

 

Due to the rising cost of veterinary expenses our Adoption Fee's have changed effective 2/1/2023:

Puppies 8 weeks to 12 months: $500.00

Young Dogs 1 year to 3 years:  $425.00

Dogs 3 years to 5 years:  $350.00

Dog's 5 years to 7 years:  $275.00

Dog's 8 years to 10 years with no known or minor health issues:  $200.00

Senior or Special Needs dog's with major health issues based on age and level of care:  $100.00 - $200.00.

Why Adoption Fees? 

 

Before adopting from our rescue, your new dog will be thoroughly examined by a veterinarian, spay/neutered, microchipped, full blood work , chest x-rays and given vaccinations including rabies and lepto. Dental work is done when needed.  Many dogs come to us with additional needs such as patella surgery, eye issues, heart issues and other ailments which require surgeries or treatment.  We make sure that every dog receives any and all necessary health care to ensure a healthy future.  On average we spend between $1,500.00 and $2,000.00 on medical care for the dogs in our rescue, many have been well over $2,000.00.  We believe in transparency and will provide all adopters with a complete medical history including the cost.
