Beau & Lulu
Beau & Lulu are a bonded pair of sibling Shih Tzu mixes, who came to CJCR on 8/9/25 from a woman who had them since they were puppies and was moving into a senior living with no pets allowed. They were born on 12/21/20, spending their life in one home where they were loved and well cared for, however were not exposed to lots of different people. She was told that they were Japanese Chin/Shih Tzu mixes, however we think there is definitely something else in the mix and possibly zero Japanese Chin.

They are 5+ years old and are very bonded and must be adopted together. They each weigh 20 pounds and are extremely athletic. Neither one of these dogs shed, therefore will require regular grooming.

They are 100% house trained and are initially very shy with strangers, however quickly become very loving lap dogs. They would be best as the only dogs in the home. They have done fine with the other small dogs in their foster home, however have always been supervised with the other dogs and can be protective of each other. They can be obsessed with chasing squirrels and therefore probably would do better with no cats or small animals. They love to go for long walks and are great on a leash. We don't know how they would be with small children, so children over the age of 10 would be recommended.
We would love for them to go to a home where they get plenty of exercise and attention. They are spay/neutered, current on all vaccinations and have had full blood work as well as a dental and are microchipped.
