Spay Female

*Black & Tan Min Pin

My name is Neveah and I arrived at CJCR on 4/8/23.  I was surrendered to a Colorado Shelter by a breeder who no longer wanted me.  The Shelter reached out to CJCR to see if they could help with some seniors in need.  I was lucky to be one of them.  I had a very large mass in my groin area which they thought to be an inguinal hernia, however the shelter did not have the resources to fix this problem.  On 4/24/23, I had an overall health check up.  My x-rays confirmed a very large hernia as well as an enlarged heart.  I was placed on daily medication to keep my heart from having to work hard.  My blood work came back great.  On 5/8/23, I had surgery to be spay, repair the hernia as well as remove some mammary tumors and have them biopsied.  They were going to do a dental as well, however the hernia repair was extremely difficult and the vet felt it was best to do it at a later date, since I had been under anesthesia for a long time.  I made a full recovery from my surgery.  On 7/25/23, I had my dental and had to have 17 teeth extracted.  My teeth were in terrible shape and I feel so much better.  I arrived in rescue extremely overweight and my foster parents are working on helping me lose a few excess pounds.  I have done really well on housetraining with a doggie door and love to snuggle on the couch with my human.  I tend to bond faster with women and would love to find a home in a quiet adult home.  I walk pretty well on a leash once I trust the person on the other end.  I am a very sweet dog who is actually pretty quiet for a minpin.   I am microchipped, current on all vaccinations and have had all of my health concerns addressed.  I will be on Pimobendin (heart medication) for the rest of my life.  I am a very sweet senior who is looking for the perfect partner to spend my senior years.  A fenced backyard would be great.
